Energy resources of geological environment in Ukraine (state and prospects) : vol 2

Energy potential of Ukrainian subsoil was outlined and analyzed: state and prospects for conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon deposits, solid fossil fuels (coal, oil shale) and the mineral resource base of uranium. Western, Eastern and Southern oil and gas regions of Ukraine were characterized. The problem of hydrocarbons formation was also outlined. Technological and environmental aspects of oil and gas production were determined. The monograph proposes a methodology for the establishment of permanent multiscale ecological and technological models, aimed at optimization of ecological and technological components at all stages of projects on hydrocarbon exploration and development. Scientific and methodological grounds on their use were determined. Basic principles for Classification of mineral reserves and resources of the State subsoil fund of Ukraine were revealed. Also the monograph proposes measures, implementation of which will provide the investment attrac-tiveness to the development of hydrocarbon deposits, coal, transparency and efficiency of mineral resource potential use.

The monograph is intended for geologists, ecologists, scientists, specialists dealing with search and exploration of hydrocarbon, coal, oil shale, uranium, students of geological and environmental specialties of higher educational institutions and for general public of readers.
