International Cooperation

Due to the State Commission of Ukraine on Mineral Resources’ activities, as noted in the UNECE Ad Hoc Group of Experts’ official Report published by the UN, Ukraine is the first among the UNECE Member States to implement United Nations Framework Classification for Fossil Energy and Mineral Reserves and Resources 2009 at the state level.

The SCMR’s scientific and technical activities are aimed at the harmonization of the Classification of Mineral Reserves and Resources of the State Subsoil Fund of Ukraine with the classification schemes of the world’s leading organizations such as CRIRSCO (Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) in order to create conditions for the comparison of mineral reserves, calculated according to different systems.
