Subsoil use in Ukraine

The notion of subsoil has been determined and main elements of the subsoil have been characterized. The history of mining and systematization of reserves and resources of mineral raw materials have been given. The procedure of geological study of the subsoil as an important process of obtaining information on the subsoil, in order to satisfy the needs of society, and peculiarities of geological information disposal have been studied. 

The system of mineral resource management as a complex of legal, geological-economic and socio-political factors has been determined. Concepts of the state and commercial geological-economic assessment of mineral deposits, notion of rent and its role in the mining industry have been presented. The procedure of geological tracking of subsoil use, in particular, the specifics of legal relations in the process of subsoil use has been described.

The structure of the geological sphere and main executives of the geological-economic assessment have been analyzed. The procedure of geological-economic assessment for different types of subsoil use and the feasibility study of the deposit conditions have been characterized. The economic analysis of mineral resources has been conducted, the prospect of development of new mineral types in Ukraine and the influence of mining industry on the world economy have been outlined. The legal status and directions of improvement of state expertise and assessment of mineral resources have been analyzed.

The geological-economic modelling during geological-economic assessment of mineral deposits has been researched. The process of obtaining a permit for the use of subsoil according to the legislation of Ukraine has been presented.
